Following on from last week, this column is part one in a step-by-step guide on setting up your Substack so it doubles as a low-cost website; structuring the content of your regular mail-out; and how to back up your work offline. It will take you a couple of hours a week, spread over a several weeks. Personally, I find this part of setting up an online presence very tedious. However, it is important to customise and streamline the experience for your readers, so they receive clear communication delivered in a pleasant tone. As always I have narrated this column and I suggest you listen to it as you set up your site – which will hopefully make it an easier and more pleasant experience for you!
