If you have basic literacy and can hold a conversation, you can write. If you know how to tell a friend about your day, or the story of something that happened, you can write. If you can talk about what you're interested in, you can write.
Of course, this doesn't make everyone a great writer. However, with a little polishing, we can all write well enough to communicate with the audience for our work.
The main obstacles to writing are usually lack of ideas and lack of confidence or experience. This column is a step-by-step guide on how to write your email newsletters to suit the strategy outlined in my previous column. I'll also include some further reading with a brief explanation of why I've chosen each book.
